The Manipur Science Centre at Imphal was set up in joint venture with National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, in 2005 and attracts students and public. It is located in a 5-acre plot at Takyelpat, is the first S&T Knowledge Resource Centre of the State. It aims to increase scientific temper among the public and is the only Science Centre in the State. One Innovation Hub was constructed under the scheme of SPICES(Scheme of Promoting Innovation, Creativity and Engagement in Science) approved by Ministry of Culture Govt. Of India with Technical Support from NCSM, Kolkata. Ministry of Railways, Government of India has gifted one Toy Train to Manipur Science Centre, it will be now the centre of attraction in Manipur Science Centre. It is further divided into 3 more schemes: Manipur Science Centre Manipur Science Centre, Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of Manipur is being set up with the main objective of popularizing Science & Technology among the masses, especially the students’ community and to create scientific awareness in the society. Set up in 2005, the Centre is the first of its kind in the State. The Centre through its various interactive exhibits, shows and other educational activities present Science & Technology is the most enjoyable and non-formal way 3D Film Theatre: Here, with the advent of digital motion pictures, 3D Stereography is being extensively used in 3D visualization of scientific ideas. Polarizers are being use for tricking our eyes to see 3D movies to create an immersive experience. The visitors are excited and thrilled beyond their imagination during the show when Anaconda appeared right in front of their very eyes trying to swallow them. DIGITAL PLANETARIUM: The Imphal Planetarium, commissioned on 5th March 2018 by Shri. N. Biren Singh, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Manipur, with the objective of fostering scientific temper through the means of edutainment (education + entertainment). The planetarium has been making learning astronomy a pleasant experience. It also has grown into a Center for the scientific study of astronomy and for a meeting of scientists and scholars for discussions and lectures, arranged periodically on various stellar and Astronomical events. in air. One can learn about the secret life of planets, stars etc at this Imphal Planetarium. This huge white dome-shaped structure houses an astro-gallery. A single projector mounted near the centre of the dome is employed with a fisheye lens to spread the light over the whole-dome MIRROR MAGIC GALLERY: An inventive design makes this attraction challenging and fun for families and guests of all ages. Undoubtedly we have no questions to ask which are unanswerable. We must trust the perfection of the creation so far, as to believe that whatever curiosity the order of things has awakened in our minds, the order of things can satisfy. Every man’s condition is a solution in hieroglyphic to those inquiries he would put.



To increase the difficulty and the fun, disco Lighting systems are being incorporated. As beautiful as it may look when you enter, it is sure to play enough tricks with your mind to leave you exhausted by the end of it due to the placement of the mirrors. There are mirrored paths, surprising corners, dead ends and continuous circles. A curving tunnel, float in the air, dine with yourself, ghost walk, infinity well and infinity train are some of the exhibits that one has to see and experience to believe.
