A). Number of Entrepreneurship Development Programme EDP were sponsored by the Department to the unemployed youths/students of the state on Short term training on Plastics items through Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology(CIPET). After undergoing short term training, some of the trainees have become a successful Entrepreneur/Business. Many have started their own unit production and have earned a huge amount of turnover annually. Some of the name of the Successful entrepreneur who have attended the short term training programme sponsored by this Department will be uploaded shortly.

Training Courses so far conducted/Sponsored by the Department are as under:

1. Manufacturing Techniques of Plastics products for Household application.

2. Investment opportunities in the field of plastic processing for women candidates.

3. Hand layup and plastic welding techniques.

4. Injection techniques for production of common household plastics items.

5. Manufacturing commercially usable plastics products.

B) Extending partial financial assistance for presenting paper in the 20th World Congress on clinical nutrition at Bangkok.

C) Conducting EDP training of unemployed youth of Manipur on “Field Technician Air and Conditioning through NIELIT(National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology), Imphal.
